Choosing a proxy service with clean IPs matters more than almost any other spec on the page. Addresses that have been used for abuse end up on blocklists, and once they're there you get limited access or no access at all — regardless of what you were doing with them.

What "blacklisted" actually means

There is no single list. There are dozens: spam blocklists, fraud-scoring databases used by payment processors, bot-detection vendors, and the private lists that large platforms build for themselves. An address lands on one after someone abused it, and it can stay there long after that person is gone.

You inherit the history. If the previous user of that IP ran card testing through it, the payment page you're trying to load already knows the address.

Why clean IPs are worth paying for

Fewer blocks and fewer challenges. An address with no history isn't pre-judged, so pages load instead of asking you to prove you're human.

Better data. A blocked or throttled request doesn't just fail loudly — it often returns a stripped page or a different price. Dirty IPs quietly corrupt your dataset.

Protection for your business. Blacklisted ranges are associated with breaches, malware and attack traffic. You don't want your company's activity mixed in with that reputation.

Predictable costs. Every retry is bandwidth you paid for. A pool with a high success rate is cheaper per useful response even at a higher price per GB.
